Wii the Most Interactive Gaming Console In the Market Today | MPS ...

Years ago, we were just musing about how fascinating it would be to interact with a video game through body and hand movements. Then around 2006, Wii was introduced and video gaming was never the same. Nintendo started developing the product in 2001 and its designers wanted to create a console that would appeal to different age groups and types of gamers. Rather than spending a lot to create a powerful gaming machine, Nintendo poured its resources into making a console that offers new gameplay experiences and new ways of interacting with video games.

the console was initially codenamed ?Revolution? but Nintendo later decided to change it to Wii, saying that it sounded like ?we? which re-emphasizes the company?s intent to provide a gaming machine that appeals to a wide demographic. At the same time, Wii is much easier to remember by gamers across the world, regardless of their language.

There is no question that among popular consoles in the market nowadays, the Wii is the most interactive and engaging. According to reports, the Wii is the best selling console in many countries. One explanation as to why the Wii has achieved such high level of success worldwide is that despite not being as powerful as its counterparts, it is still very much capable and is the most affordable console in the market at the same time.

Also, among the consoles, Wii already comes with some popular game titles once you purchase it. What this means is that you can use the console right away. Adding to the Wiis popularity are game titles exclusively available on the said console, such as the Legend of Zelda, Pokmon, and the Super Mario Bros. Wii is also popular because it is very intuitive that even for non-gamers would have little or no issues learning how to play with the product.

In July of 2011, Nintendo unveiled the upcoming video game console which will be Wiis successor at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. the said upcoming console is nicknamed Wii U and it will be launched in time for the holidays of 2012. Some of the most awaited wii u games that are playable only on the Nintendo console include the Pikmin 3 and the still untitled sequel of the Super Smash Bros. Several third-party Wii U games are also being developed such as Tom Clancys Ghost Recon online.
