Neeraj Khemlani, George Kliavkoff
Hearst has promoted two executives, George Kliavkoff and Neeraj Khemlani, to co-presidents of the Entertainment & Syndication group, CEO Steven R. Swartz wrote Thursday in a company memo.
"In this role, they will work with me in supporting our outstanding management teams at our cable network ventures -- A+E Networks and ESPN -- and will work with Mark Burnett and his team at our One Three Media and with our partners at NorthSouth Productions," Swartz wrote.

Burnett produced the hit miniseries The Bible, which aired on A&E Networks' History channel in March. The producer had partnered with Hearst in 2011 to create production company One Three Media. NorthSouth Productions creates TV shows like Lifetime's Double Divas and TruTV's Impractical Jokers.
Scott Stassa, the former president of the Entertainment & Syndication group, left the company in March after becoming embroiled in a sexting scandal with a stripper who had forwarded messages to Hearst Corp. execs. Stassa had a reported annual salary of $6 million.
Khemlani and Kliavkoff "will be also be developing new entertainment assets for the company, including streaming video and digital media ventures," along with overseeing comics distributor King Features Syndicate and account organizer service Manilla, said Swartz.
In addition to their new responsibilities, the execs will also maintain their current positions.
Both executives joined Hearst in 2009, Khemlani was named chief creative officer at Hearst Corp. in 2012. Kliavkoff's previous title was executive vp and deputy group head of Hearst Entertainment & Syndication.
Kliavkoff previously worked as NBCUniversal's chief digital officer. Khemlani had worked as Yahoo! News & Information's general manager.
