Ohio school may expel 6th-grader over 'kill list'
May 18, 2011 19:18 EDT
BAINBRIDGE, Ohio (AP) -- A southern Ohio school says a
12-year-old girl accused of writing 37 classmates' names on a
"kill list" may be expelled.
Principal Heather Bowles says the sixth-grader at Paint Valley
Middle School in Bainbridge is suspended and has an expulsion
hearing Thursday.
Bowles says she got a call May 11 from the parent of a student
who found out his name was on the list.
The principal says the 12-year-old girl produced the list when
questioned and said she wrote students' names because she was "mad
at them." Bowles says the paper was labeled "Kill List" and
contained students' first and last names and the girl's signature.
Bowles says parents and authorities were notified and juvenile
court officials will determine if charges will be filed.
